Second Annual “F.U.B.A.R. Roller Jam” Fundraiser
Rolls Into Robson Square in Support of Make-A-Wish® BC & Yukon

Vancouverites of all ages will be treated to a Father’s Day full of retro fun to benefit BC & Yukon families dealing with critical illnesses

Vancouver, BC – F.U.B.A.R. (Friends United Beyond All Race) is thrilled to present the second F.U.B.A.R. Roller Jam, a fundraising event for Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon on Sunday, June 17 at the Robson Square Skating Rink.

Roller skate lovers will be moving and grooving to the best vintage Soul, Funk, Pop, Disco and R&B from guest DJs, including Vancouver’s Table Tutors. The event will also feature dance performances from Studio 604 and the Rollerskate Vancouver Show Squad, face painting, prize draws, and more fun activities over the course of the afternoon.

“We had such a great response to our first Roller Jam that we decided to make it an annual event,” says host Al Lamons, aka DJ Alibaba. “Last year we raised over $1200 for Make-A-Wish, and it was a fantastic inspiration for us to provide Vancouver another fun, healthy, family-friendly event while raising money for a great cause.”

Proceeds from the event will go to Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon, whose mission it is to grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

For skating fans who can’t make it on June 17, there will be another F.U.B.A.R. Roller Jam in the fall on September 30.
